New, Exciting, Affordable and Personalized Way to Grow
The National Center of Education Statistics reports 54% of adults age 16-64 in the United States have participated in some sort of formal continuing education program. Though this statistic does not account for the millions of adults, like each of you, who learn every day via tapes, DVDs, eLearning courses, seminars, or books, this clearly demonstrates that we are a society of continuous learners. At the POST Institute we want to support you in your journey of continuous learning and soon will launch our Online Learning Center. Our programs are written by Bryan Post, America’s foremost child behavior expert specializing in helping children with challenging behaviors, are designed to be interactive and engaging, and are affordable. We will also offer courses by other exciting presenters that will support and enhance your understanding of this very important work – Parenting with Love, with an emphasis on understanding the science and psychology which will challenge our cultural and traditional methods of how best to take care of our families, and our future.
With our eLearning Courses, you can dictate your own schedule, create your own curriculum and learn at your own comfortable pace and save money in the process – get more for less! Agencies will be able to license the use of courses for their own in-house training needs.
How we target each style of learning
Visual learners learn by seeing and often prefer to take detailed notes to absorb the information. Our programs provide ample opportunity for note-taking and contain visual images to support key concepts. Auditory learners learn by listening. Each of our programs has an auditory component—a CD, DVD, or interactive eLearning program. Kinesthetic learners learn by doing and like to interact with the content. There are ample opportunities to fill in the blanks, participate in family activities, or encourage discussion.
Who can benefit from our eLearning Courses?
- Parents first and foremost; those that struggle daily as well as those who seek the cutting edge on how best to bring their children up in an atmosphere of unconditional love.
- Professionals such as therapists, social workers, educators along with adoption/foster care agencies who wish to train their case workers as well as their parents
- Adults who have experienced attachment issues due to their own upbringing and wish to better understand and make changes in their own lives and those of their families.
Will we get Continuing Education Credits for taking your courses?
In the future, some of our courses will offer CEIs and that will be noted in each course description.
What will be available at the Online Learning Center?
The first program available is a completely redesigned version of Healing for the Attachment-Challenged, Angry, and Defiant Child. The new workbook allows you to engage with the material in a whole new way. You’ll have to listen for keywords and write them down in your workbook, complete activities with your family, take time to reflect on the material and write down what you’ve learned. Once you’ve completed the workbook, you’ll have a great reference tool when you want to review later.
Shortly after the redesigned workbook, we will introduce our first eLearning module, also based on Bryan’s Healing for the Attachment-Challenged, Angry, and Defiant Child. Our new eLearning series will allow you to quickly download the material when you need it and be just as engaging as the workbook series.
We have a lot planned for this exciting resource and appreciate input on what you would like to see there. Please send an email to davidst.postinstitute.com.
