Adoption Awareness Series PDF Print E-mail

FREE information-packed adoption teleseminar series...

Someone you know has adopted, has been adopted, is in the process of adopting, fosters or is considering foster care or adoption, provides therapy or support, or has been touched by adoption in some way. An estimated 60% of Americans have had a personal experience with adoption.  November is National Adoption Awareness Month and a wonderful opportunity to understand the people whose lives are directly affected, for better or for worse, by the impact of adoption.

Join me, Bryan Post, and my special guests November 3, 8, 10, 17, and 24 for five FREE, live conference calls, to hear intimate testimonies of the PROs and CONs, struggles and successes in adoption from the grown child's perspective--foster care, international, and transracial--and other expert perspectives on neurological and cultural factors in adoption. We even have time set aside at the end of each call to field questions of your own.

You might be surprised what you learn. The first call was a conversation with an expert on a neurological dysfunction common among adoptees and neglected children--sensory processing dysfunction. This is a can't-miss, EYE-OPENING session, especially if you know of a child who seems belligerently hypersensitive to touch, smell, taste, or light...or "out of sync" with their families or children their own age.   The second and third calls were conversations about racial tension that may confront biracial families, and successes that are being made by "both sides" to cooperate in taking care of our nation's most vulnerable children.  Upcoming calls deal with how to honor the culture of your adopted family member and how to see through a child's behavior into what their often traumatic experiences may have trained them to believe about the world.

Get the Recordings. If you can't make the calls for some reason, register anyway and receive a recording of each call in MP3 format for listening at your convenience.
