FREE e-Book for New Adoptive Parents PDF Print E-mail
Written by David Durovy

One of our friends, author and publisher Carrie Kitze, has put together a guide for new adoptive parents in response to the Hansen case (Returned Russian Adopted Boy), EMK Press and a number of other adoption professionals put together a 50 page guide for new adoptive parents. It's called Realistic Expectations and can be downloaded from her site. A number of the articles have been reprinted from the Adoption Parenting book, while there are others such as our very own Bryan Post, that were specifically created for this guide and we are grateful to those who have shared their expertise. It has already helped a number of families who are currently on their adoption trips.

Excellent Free E-Book for In-Process, New and Experienced Adoptive Parents. EMK press has made available a free e-book entitled Realistic Expectations -The First Year Home. This guide contains articles on such subjects as bonding, attachment, fetal alcohol syndrome, sleep and post-adoption depression. It provides valuable information which will benefit any adoptive parent but is particularly important for potential adoptive parents and those who are recently arrived home. Authors include Bryan Post, Carrie Kitze and Adam Pertman - familiar names in the adoption community. The book can be downloaded at this site: http://www.emkpress.com/realisticexpectations.html.

Thanks for helping us to spread the word by cross posting this on lists that newer adoptive families frequent.
