Over the years I have had the opportunity to work with and train hundreds of social workers, counselors, psychologists, and psychiatrist. Many have expressed a desire to learn more, grow more, and gain expertise in utilizing the Stress Model, Family-Centered Regulatory Therapy and Parenting in their practices. Though I previously attempted to provide a training platform for therapists, I quickly learned that this was easier said than done. Many therapists have gone on to say they were trained by me when in fact, they’ve only attended a camp or a lecture. Additionally, in some instances, therapists I thought who were fully adept at the practice principles I outline in my trainings still struggled to hold true to the principles and integrity of the model. Therefore, I set about to provide a training protocol which I believed would ensure the greatest model integrity and ability to implement practice principles that I thought possible. The bottom line is that family-centered regulatory therapy is as much art as therapy. Being able to practice mindfulness of one’s own fear when in the presence of another’s fear, is not simply a practice that can be taught. It must be experienced. That being said, here you will find therapist whom have stood the test of time. Attended a multitude of camps and embarked on their own personal growth process as to become better therapists for their clients. Each therapists listed here has my full endorsement of competency for the level of certification they have attained. Certification levels are based equally on time spent implementing the model and training received.
