I incorporate the stress model in my holistic family based treatment approach.  Regardless of diagnoses or presenting problems, the stress model is applicable.  I find it to be a highly effective and efficient paradigm to help individuals and families heal.  The process helps individual and families address the underlying interactive dynamics of the entire family.  I help families understand the essence of love.  I stress the importance of loving yourself to parents before they can help their children.  Using baby steps, the stress model helps individual and families face their fears and begin processing their trauma.  My approach is not therapy resolution, but integration of their trauma so that it is not as intrusive in their lives.  Their trauma eventually becomes an asset from which they can grow and develop new strengths and truths about themselves.  I incorporate God’s word through out the therapy process to insure lasting results.
